Russian mission news – Yuri Norstein reunion 

Magda Šebestová and Jakub Hora, AniFest representatives, went all the way up to Russia to present Czech animation. With “New Wave of Czech Animation“ and “The Best of Czech Animation 2009-2010“ selection DVDs they visited Moscow, Niznij Novgorod and Siberian Kransnojarsk. Jan Švankmajer wins the ASIFA 50 best animated movies poll

ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d´Animation) celebrated its 50th birthday by organizing a poll for 50 best animated movies. Twenty-five experts from eighteen countries voted for all animated movies created between 1960 – 2010. Exchange Production Forum at AniFest 2011 calls for projects

AniFest (26 April - 1 May 2011, www.anifest.cz) invites young filmmakers, artists, students and producers from East and Central Europe to submit their projects of short animated film to Exchange Production Forum (production meeting with international producers and pitching of new ideas). Movies made by children on Czech TV

As a part of the renewed programme „Studio Kamarád“, Czech TV is airing animated movies made by children, which participated in the AniFest contest in years 2009 and 2010. The selection is miscellaneous and interesting – it also includes movies from Belgium, Serbia, India, UK etc. “Studio Kamarád“ is on every Sunday at 7:30 AM or you can also watch it at i-vysílání.
